Description
At Fern Farm we have two luxury holiday cottages offering accommodation in a rural situation within easy walking distance of the centre of Buxton.
The cottages have been created by the conversion of some former farm outbuildings.
These late Victorian brick buildings have been tastefully converted to a high standard, with full gas central heating, new electrical systems, modern kitchens and bathrooms and polished wooden floors downstairs.
Outside the cottages there is ample parking space and a small patio which is equipped with outdoor furniture.
Cottage One sleeps four people in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom.
Cottage Two sleeps 4 people in one double bedroom and another bedroom with full-size bunk beds.
Both cottages lie within Fern Farm, with the riding stables behind. The farm has 95 acres of land which stretches almost to the summit of nearby Grin Low, a beauty spot which overlooks Buxton.
The centre of Buxton is approximately one mile distant, and is a pleasant walk, initially across fields or via Fern Road.
There are footpaths from the door - up to Solomon's Temple on Grin Low, into Buxton itself, and also leading out in the opposite direction to open country. On London Road, approximately 500m from Fern Farm there is an excellent pub which offers snacks and meals, and mini Tesco shop.
