Description
Situated high on the hill above Matlock on the edge of the village of Riber, whose castle dominates the town, our 16th century farmhouse offers a warm welcome and comfortable environment from which to explore the surrounding countryside or visit our many stately homes and beautiful Dales. The farm overlooks this popular tourist destination. Ride the cable car to the Heights of Abraham and get a birds eye view of the surrounding area. Of course, in September and October the illuminations are Matlock Bath's most famous attraction. We pride ourselves at Hearthstone on providing our guests with the highest possible standard of accommodation and food to make it the perfect place to unwind.

Twin/double bedded with en-suite shower. A delightful sunny room with some natural stone walls and views over the farm.
Room 2
Double room with en-suite and sofa, which can convert to a bed for a child. Windows take advantage of our open views. Colour TV and beverage tray.
Room 3
Charming double with natural stone walls and extended views over the valley. Private en-suite bathroom. Colour TV and beverage tray.
Places of Interest
Chatsworth and Haddon Hall - Two of England's most beautiful and popular stately homes are less than half an hour from the farm. Exquisite works of art and sumptuous gardens offer a unique insight into centuries of England's history. Chatsworth was the home of Mr Darcy in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
Organic Farm Produce
Hearthstone Farm is a working family farm producing organic beef, pork, lamb, plus bacon, gammon and sausage made from our organic pork, most of which is sold through our on-farm outlet. Hearthstone Farm is a fully organic enterprise, this means that we are using traditional methods to ensure that our farming enterprise works in harmony with the environment.
Opening hours for organic meat are:
Mon/Fri, 9am - 5pm Sat, 9am - 2pm
Sund, 10am - 12 noon or by arrangement.
Closed Weds
All meat sold from the farm comes from our own stock, thus we will have seasonal variations.
